Sheryl Underwood, an American comedian, TV host and actress best known for hosting the popular daily talk show The Talk. Sheryl was brought up in Little Rock. Sheryl is the product of an extremely troubled family. She spent the majority of her young life caring for her younger sister Frankie who was afflicted by an illness called polio. When she was growing up, Sheryl had many problems with her mom. Sheryl says that at one instance her mother stabbed her father due to him getting too close to her. Sheryl joined up the military shortly after graduating from college. But her passion was comedy. She was the first woman to win the Miller Lite Comedy Search in 1989. Her TV professional career started in 1992 when she was a guest performer for the HBO comedy program Def Comedy Jam. She hosted the show in 2000. the show Oh Drama! Since 2011, she has been co-hosting the Talk Show. Also, she appears in fictional roles in popular shows such as Bulworth and Nikki as well as Beauty Shop.
