Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy was born in Miami Florida on 16 April 1996. Half English and a quarter Spanish they are the daughters of Dennis Alan Taylor a former banker and Jennifer Marina Joy a psychologist. Their father was Argentine who had Scottish and English ancestry. Her mother is of Spanish and English ancestral roots. Taylor-Joy has five siblings four from her father's previous marriage. The family lived throughout Buenos Aires up until Taylor-Joy was six years old. She after which they moved to the Victoria district of London. According to Taylor-Joy, this move was traumatic and she refused to learn English to the hope of moving back to Argentina. Hill House had to be her new school when she transferred from Northlands. In the following year, she joined Queen's Gate School to study ballet and act in the school's shows. After she turned 16, she quit school in order to follow a full-time career path in acting. Taylor-Joy has always known she wanted to become an actor. She was offered a chance by Sarah Doukas founder of Storm Management, who offered her an opportunity as a model.
