Sheryl Underwood, an American comedian, host of a TV show and performer famous for hosting The Talk, a popular talk show on daytime. The Talk. Born in Arkansas She was raised within Little Rock and Atwater. Sheryl is from a family that has had numerous issues. Sheryl was a part of her childhood helping her younger sister Frankie, who had polio. As a teenager, she was plagued by problems with her mom. Sheryl says that at the past, her mother would stab her father due to him getting too close to her. Sheryl enlisted in the military after her college graduation. Her passions were in the field of comedy. She was selected as the first woman to be a finalist in the Miller Lite Comedy Search, that was held in the year 1989. She started her TV professional career in 1992 after she was a regular actor in the HBO comedy series Def Comedy Jam. The show was in the show Oh Drama! as the host in 2000. Then in 2011, she started participating as a co-host on The Talk as co-host. She has also played fictional roles in series including Bulworth Nikki as well as Beauty Shop.
