Amanda Blake

Amanda Blake (born Beverly Louise Neill) was a known American actress. Most famously, she was known for her role as the character of Miss Kitty Russell in the TV show 'Gunsmoke'. Additionally, she was known for appearing in television projects "The Red Skelton Show', "Tattletales," as well as 'The Edge of Night'. In addition, Blake starred in many other movies that included Stars In My Crown, Duchess of Idaho,?Cattle Town,?Miss Robin Crusoe,?"About Mrs. Leslie",?The Adventures of Hajjibaba,??High Society? The Boost The Boost?. Blake had been an operator of telephones by trade and a fan of animals. Along with partner Frank Gilbert, was one among the first individuals to successfully breed cheetahs in captivity. She was co-founding with her husband Frank Gilbert of Arizona Animal Welfare League. Even as a board member of Humane Society of the United States, Blake has a long history. Blake was inducted to the Hall of Great Western Performers of the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum.
