Sundar Pichai

Sundar PichaiPichai Sundararajan or Sundar Picha (Indian-American business executive) is more popularly known. [6] He is the chief executive officer (CEO) of Alphabet Inc. and its subsidiary Google.Born in Madurai in India, Pichai earned his degree at IIT Kharagpur in metallurgical engineering. After making the move to the United States, Pichai earned an M.S. He earned a Master's degree in Materials Science and Engineering at Stanford University. He also earned an MBA from the Wharton School of Pennsylvania. Following a brief time at McKinsey, Pichai moved to Google in 2004. There, he was responsible for the development of Google Drive as well as product management and innovation. Additionally Pichai was able to oversee the development of additional applications such as Gmail and Google Maps. In the year 2010, Pichai also announced the open-sourcing of the new codec for video called VP8 from Google and introduced the new format for video, WebM. The Chromebook was released in 2012. Pichai, who was responsible for the launch of Android in 2012, added Android to the list of Google products.
